教育背景

Yuchong Hu received the B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Special Class for the Gifted Young (SCGY), the University of Science and Technology of China in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Software and Theory from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2010.

His research mainly focuses on designing and implementing novel reliability mechanisms, based on fault-tolerance (such as Network Coding or Erasure coding), to improve reliability, performance and security for storage systems, which include cloud storage, big-data storage, deduplicated backup, heterogeneous/hierarchical storage, in-memory NoSQL database etc. 

研究方向主要集中于,通过利用容错技术(网络编码,纠删码等)去设计与实现“高可靠、高性能、高安全”的计算机存储系统(包括云存储、大数据存储、重删备份、异构存储、内存数据库等)。


工作经历

He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Network Coding Institute at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2010-2012, and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013-2015. He is now an associate professor of the School of Computer Science and Technology at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
